Founder's Story
The Birth of MeFree
MeFree came to life not through boardroom planning, but a journey of healing, faith, and dedication to yoga practice.
When Smt. Inaben A. Dani grappled with chronic migraines, and Malav Dani had to confront the blow of a life-altering accident; they both sought help beyond medicine. Their journey led them to Guruji B.K.S. Iyengar, whose guidance reshaped not only their physical practice but also their perception of life.
Through disciplined practice, guided faith, and the compassionate philosophy of Guruji, they found that “All pain in life is a gift of God.” What began as personal healing slowly became a calling — to help others experience this transformation.
As Inaben deepened her practice, she began assisting Guruji by designing and crafting yoga props that met his precise expectations. Each piece, from the earliest blocks and belts to more complex supports, carried her attention to detail, her devotion, and her belief that yoga should be accessible to every practitioner.
As the word spread, more and more students started seeking these props, not as products but as tools of faith and alignment. Recognising the increasing need, Malav and Inaben decided to build something structured, sustainable, and purposeful.
MeFree was founded in 2017 with the seemingly simple yet profound mission of:
To make authentic, high-quality yoga props available to all. Crafted with integrity, rooted in faith, and designed to support everyone on their journey.
Today, MeFree represents the fulfilment of that vision, a synergy between tradition and innovation, craftsmanship and compassion. Each block, each belt, every bolster, and bench speaks to one
simple belief: Yoga has nothing to do with perfection but everything to do with freedom- Freedom from pain, limitation, and fear.
Through MeFree, Inaben and Malav transformed their personal healing into a movement of empowerment. One that empowers practitioners to find strength, stillness, and self-discovery through the right support.
MeFree - Born from Faith. Built for Freedom. Made for All.
